Urso said on Facebook that “Italy and Hungary, together with Spain and Portugal, could lead an alliance of southern and central Europe, saving the EU from the northern, Dutch pirates, in the spirit of solidarity of the former founders of the European community.”
Katalin Novák said the Hungarian government could not accept the distribution quota for migrants, adding that “we do not agree with the distribution mechanism included in the Malta agreement and we will not support any form of mandatory settlement quota.”
“In Hungary, in recent years, we have developed a new model of political and state theory, and a Christian-democratic state has been built,” said Prime Minister Orbán, addressing an event organized by Fratelli d’Italia in Rome, adding that proof of the model’s success is demonstrated in three parliamentary election victories that delivered a two-thirds majority.
It is Matteo Salvini’s mission to prove that migration can be stopped not only on land but also at sea, said Prime Minister Orbán, adding that even though Hungary has already shown the world that immigrants can be stopped at the border, Brussels’ migration policy still focuses on “managing” the crisis instead of putting an end to the influx of intruders.
