Budapest property prices continue to rise

Districts 5, 6, 1, 2 and 12 are the most expensive and desirable places to live in Budapest, according to a new study.

Property prices are reaching way above and beyond the average 600,000 HUF per square meter in the most expensive parts of the city.

According to portfolio.hu, the cheapest district to live in is the 23rd, closely followed by the 21st, the 20th and the 10th.

The most popular districts are the 13th, the 14th and the 11th where around 3,000 flats were sold in the first half of 2017.

The most expensive street is in the 5th district, Vigadó Square where the average price is 1.8 million HUF per square meter. There are also other streets in the 5th, 6th, 1st and 2nd districts where prices can reach more than 1 million HUF per square meter.

Balatonfüred also faired well in the survey, where prices can reach an average of 786,000 HUF per square meter.
