Burgenland has re-opened four border crossings between Austria and Hungary, it has been announced.

The Austrian state closed 35 out of its 60 border crossings to Hungary in October 2018, but an agreement has now been reached to re-open four, partially re-open a fifth, and ongoing negotiations regarding a sixth crossing continue.

The four crossings include: Sopronkeresztúr/Deutschkreutz – Harka, Sopronkeresztúr/Deutschkreutz – Nagycenk, Miklóshalma/Nickelsdorf – Rajka, and Pinkakertes/Gaas – Szentpéterfa.

The above mentioned crossings are now open for both cars and motorbikes to cross.
