Can you help catch the Budapest bomber?

Police have released new CCTV still images showing the Budapest bomb attacker in order to try and catch the suspect.

Two police officers were severly injured in the atack which took place on Teréz Körút near Oktogon on Saturday, September 24.

The video image shows a white male between the ages of 20-25 years, wearing a white fishing hat, a dark jacket, jeans and white trainers.

According to blikk.hu, the bommber had run away by foot after he watched the explosion. Investigators could then follow the man’s route via surveillance cameras until Népliget.

During this time he changed his outfit twice, and “disappeared from the maps” at Népliget. The attacker then walked for an hour but then no more further signs. The suspected attacker may have gotten onto a bus at the International Bus Station of Népliget, take a train at the Ferencváros railway station or he jumped into a car somewhere in the park.

Police are offering a 10 million HUF reward for help in identifying the attacker and are calling on members of the public to reveal the individual’s identity.
