Even more Hungarian citizens have been diagnosed with COVID-19, bringing the confirmed number of cases in Hungary to 2,775. Meanwhile, 581 have so far recovered from the disease.

Hungary is now in the period of cluster infections, when the virus spreads via social interaction. The disease can therefore be present anywhere. It’s vital for everyone to stay home and observe the recommendations and movement restrictions, especially elderly people, students and those who have returned from abroad.

The number of confirmed people infected with the coronavirus in Hungary now stands at 2,775. In compulsory home quarantine: 10,199. Recovered: 581. Deceased: 312.

During yesterday’s Operational Group press conference, Chief Medical Officer Cecília Müller said Hungary has now reached a balanced situation, which provides an opportunity to possibly introduce a reduction in restrictive measures. However, she warned that if more encounters occur, the number of infections may increase.
