The number of confirmed people infected with the coronavirus in Hungary now stands at 3,380. In compulsory home quarantine: 11,084. Recovered: 1,169. Deceased: 436.
The results show that 59 percent of those infected, 79 percent of the deceased, and 59 percent of those recovered live in Budapest or Pest County. The total number of active COVID-19 cases is 1,775. There are currently 658 patients hospitalized with the coronavirus, 49 of those are on ventilators.
It’s still vital for everyone to maintain a distance of 1.5 meters and cover their face in shops and on public transport. It is recommended to stay at home and observe the rules and recommendations, especially elderly people, students, and those who have returned from abroad.
During yesterday's Operational Group press conference, Chief Medical Officer Cecília Müller called parents’ attention to bring only healthy children to daycare facilities. It’s important, Müller continued, to teach personal hygiene to kids as early as possible.
