Coronavirus Update: 3,509 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Hungary

The results show that 56 percent of those infected, 78 percent of the deceased, and 61 percent of those recovered live in Budapest or Pest County. The total number of active COVID-19 cases is 1662.

The number of confirmed people infected with the coronavirus in Hungary now stands at 3,509. In compulsory home quarantine: 10,470. Recovered: 1,396. Deceased: 461.

The results show that 56 percent of those infected, 78 percent of the deceased, and 61 percent of those recovered live in Budapest or Pest County. The total number of active COVID-19 cases is 1662.  

It’s still vital for everyone to maintain a distance of 1.5 meters and cover their face in shops and on public transport. It is recommended to stay at home and observe the rules and recommendations, especially elderly people, students, and those who have returned from abroad.

Yesterday afternoon, Minister Gergely Gulyás has announced the details of an easing of restrictions to take effect in Budapest on Monday. “Beginning on Monday, all shops and businesses may reopen, customers will be allowed to use the terraces and gardens of restaurants and cafés,” Gulyás said.
