Even more Hungarian citizens have been diagnosed with COVID-19, bringing the confirmed number of cases in Hungary to 1,652. Meanwhile, 199 have so far recovered from the disease.
Chief Medical Officer Cecília Müller reported yesterday that the deceased were typically elderly with chronic illnesses, adding that the number of people who have recovered is much higher than the number of those who have died.
Hungary is now in the period of cluster infections, when the virus spreads via social interaction. The disease can therefore be present anywhere. It’s vital for everyone to stay home and observe the recommendations and movement restrictions, especially elderly people, students and those who have returned from abroad.
The number of confirmed people infected with the coronavirus in Hungary now stands at 1,652. In compulsory home quarantine: 12,737. Recovered: 199. Deceased: 142.
Only together can we slow down the epidemic and flatten the curve.
