Coronavirus Update: Government earmarks HUF 15 billion for the purchase of additional medical equipment

The funds will be used by the ÁEEK for the purchase and distribution of stocks under the supervision of the operative board in charge of coordinating measures in connection with the coronavirus.

The Hungarian government has earmarked more than HUF 15 billion (EUR 43m) for the purchase of additional medical equipment as part of protection measures against the novel coronavirus epidemic.

According to MTI, the funds will be used by the State Healthcare Supply Center (ÁEEK) for the purchase and distribution of stocks under the supervision of the operative board in charge of coordinating measures in connection with the virus.

The new measures were outlined in a decree published in Magyar Közlöny, the government gazette, on Tuesday.
