During today’s Operational Group press conference, Róbert Kiss, Lieutenant Colonel of the Hungarian Police Force, reported that people can now enter Hungary from the Czech Republic, Germany, Austria, Slovakia, Serbia, Slovenia and from Friday Croatia without the need for compulsory home quarantine.

Meanwhile, Chief Medical Officer Cecília Müller said we are now in the dormant phase of the epidemic, but due to contact screening we are still confirming around 10 or less positive cases in Hungary per day. “The work continues in labs, only the number of positive cases is less, but the analysis of the samples is carried out at the same pace, with approximately 1,000 tests every day,” she added.
