Hungary’s protective measures against the novel coronavirus pandemic have been successful and the number of infections and deaths have been “very favorable” compared to other countries.

Human Resources Minister Miklós Kásler said Hungary’s protective measures against the novel coronavirus pandemic have been successful and the number of infections and deaths have been “very favorable” compared to other countries.

According to MTI, the minister said the government has made preparations for a worst-case scenario in order to prevent the collapse of the healthcare system.

Commenting on remarks made in an open letter by the Hungarian Doctors’ Chamber, he said all the required information had been communicated to them and daily press conferences have been held. He said the medical college has prepared professional guidelines and all questions put by hospitals have been answered.
