Coronavirus Update: There has been a big jump in the number of tests taken in Hungary

There has been a big jump in the number of tests taken since a comprehensive study was launched by three Hungarian medical universities to obtain information on the extent of the country's infection.

 

Kristóf Gál, spokesperson for the Hungarian National Police Headquarters (ORFK), reported today that there are currently 3,213 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Hungary, but the number of active cases has been declining for five days in a row. In more positive news, 409 patients have so far recovered from the virus.

Gál added that there has been a big jump in the number of tests taken since a comprehensive study was launched by three Hungarian medical universities to obtain information on the extent of the country's infection. Almost 18,000 more tests will be undertaken in the next two weeks.
