Digi given go ahead to purchase Invitel by the Hungarian competition authority

Reports suggest that the deal is worth upwards of 43 billion HUF (140 million EUR)

Digi has been given the go ahead to purchase Invitel by the Hungarian competition authority, GVH.

However, reports suggest that certain restrictions have been imposed on the deal to ensure a fair market acquisition.

MTI reports that a stipulation has been put in place that requires Digi to sell the Invitel networks it has acquired in 16 settlements within a six-month period. It must also exit from lease contracts relating to independent fixed-line telecom networks in 25 settlements.

Reports suggest that the deal is worth upwards of 43 billion HUF (140 million EUR).
