European statesmen to discuss the future of Europe in “Europe Uncensored” an online forum on July 8

Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, President Aleksandar Vucic and Prime Minister Janez Jansa, as well as François-Xavier Bellamy, member of the European Parliament and head of the French delegation to the EPP Group, will contribute and share their visions of a conservative Europe.

The Foundation for a Civic Hungary is organizing an online conference entitled "Europe Uncensored” on July 8, 2020 at 10:00 am, to discuss the future of Europe.

Although European institutions have launched a “future of Europe” debate, a coherent conservative vision is still missing. That’s where "Europe Uncensored” comes into play.

As the worst of the pandemic seems to be behind us, European countries are preparing for a potential second wave, but focus is shifting from immediate protective efforts to returning to “normal” life. Although there is still much uncertainty about what the “new normal” will mean, we are confronted with the question: In what direction are we headed?

The three last international crises have shown that countries across Europe may have very different answers to common challenges and policies may defy public opinion. Whether it’s a sovereign debt crisis, mass immigration or a deadly pandemic, these crises have changed our ideas and expectations regarding European cooperation.

As we are restarting our economies and trying to adapt everyday life to ever changing circumstances, we inevitably think about the future of our continent. This is both necessary and timely. We must define our goals, define what we seek to achieve – both on a national and on a European level.

Three leading statesmen of the European People’s Party, President Aleksandar Vucic, Prime Minister Janez Jansa and Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, as well as François-Xavier Bellamy, member of the European Parliament and head of the French delegation to the EPP Group, will contribute and share their visions of a conservative Europe.

We look forward to a bold and uncensored conversation about long-term strategic matters - including demographics, immigration, sovereignty, national identity, enlargement towards the Balkans, and more.

Slovenia and Hungary have learned valuable lessons over the last 16 years, while Serbia will hopefully soon join the EU and provide fresh input and new energy to the community of European nations.

We welcome all European citizens who are interested in and care about the future of our continent to join "Europe Uncensored” on July 8.
