Government close to announcing airport deal with direct train link to Budapest city center

Gergely Gulyás, Head of the Prime Minister's Office, said the announcement of a deal regarding the state-backed purchase of Budapest Airport was “extremely close” and would hopefully take place before the end of February. As soon as the sale and purchase of the airport are concluded, the next stage would be to build a direct rail link between the airport and the city center, he said.
