Government office takes action over Wizz Air complaints

Passengers have approached the customer protection authority for Wizz Air’s failure to provide information concerning delays and cancellation of flights.

The justice ministry has confirmed that the municipal government office of Budapest has launched proceedings against low-cost airline Wizz Air over a number of recent customer complaints. Passengers have approached the customer protection authority for Wizz Air’s failure to provide information concerning delays and cancellation of flights. They complained about the company’s neglecting to ensure accommodation or rebooking in such cases, while the company has also failed to answer complaints within 30 days and imposed a surcharge on customer calls.
