Government provides HUF 43.5 billion to help disabled people find jobs

Surveys have found that businesses tend to be satisfied with the work of their disabled employees and willingness to employ them is increasing.

The ministry of human resources has revealed that thanks to government measures and job subsidies, the number of disabled people in employment has risen by more than 2.5 times since 2010.

In a statement, the ministry announced that 150,000 people with disabilities hold jobs today compared to 60,000 ten years ago.

According to MTI, the government is subsidizing companies that employ larger numbers of people with disabilities in 2020 to the tune of 43.5 billion forints.

The ministry also announced that it is organizing an international conference on January 17-18 on how to expand the employment of people with disabilities.
