The foreign minister said the government’s scheme to boost investments and revive the economy has so far helped save 120,000 jobs.

Péter Szijjártó, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, said that 646 companies out of 806 bidders have now received grants totalling HUF 146 billion (EUR 418), adding that the combined value of government-assisted projects was over HUF 300 billion.

The minister said that the program will increase the participants’ competitiveness in the long term, and help the Hungarian economy return to pre-pandemic levels.
