Hungarian football plans training camps with Cameroon

Friendly matches and joint training camps will be organized at locations throughout Hungary

Hungary is to allow African nation Cameroon to organize their training camps in Hungary, reports news agency MTI.

The leadership of Cameroon’s national football federation is currently visiting on a three-day trip to study the country’s stadium-building scheme.

Football coach László Tóth, the organizer of the planned training camps with Cameroonian football players, revealed that the meeting is unique in the history of Hungarian soccer because no high-level leaders of the Cameroonian football association have previously visited the East Central European region.

The African delegation is touring the country’s largest and most modern stadiums – Nagyerdei Stadium in Debrecen, Groupama Arena in Budapest and Pancho Arena, the stadium of the Puskás Ferenc Football Academy in Felcsút.

Under the cooperation agreement, friendly matches and joint training camps will also be organized at locations throughout Hungary.

Pierre-Joseph Batamak, head of the Cameroonian football federation, pointed out that his country will host the Africa Cup in 2019 and expressed his hopes that Hungary will also play a role in building stadiums and football pitches in Cameroon.
