The Hungarian government has condemned the terrorist attack in Jordan over the weekend.

Terrorists opened fired at Kerak Castle, killing a number of Jordanian security personnel and civilians, as well as a foreign tourist and injuring scores more, in the Jordanian city of al-Karak, on Sunday.

In addition to expressing our sympathies to the families of the victims, Hungary underlines its commitment to fight terrorism as part of the international coalition. Hungary reiterates its support for the leadership and the people of Jordan to maintain the Kingdom’s stability and its indispensable role in the region.

The statement was released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade this morning.
