Hungarian government will block George Soros's attempts to bring illegal immigrants to Europe

The foreign minister said it was Hungarians rather than Soros that elected the current government and parliament. Hungarians can decide what’s good for them even without a US speculator, he added

The Hungarian government knows exactly what George Soros is up to and will stand in the way of his efforts to bring illegal migrants to Europe, Péter Szijjártó, minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, has said.

During an interview with Magyar Hírlap, the foreign minister said it was Hungarians rather than Soros that elected the current government and parliament. Hungarians can decide what’s good for them even without a US speculator, he added.

“Soros made it clear what he wanted and it has been dubbed the ‘Soros plan’. He can now try to explain that it’s not what he thought of but we should not be naive,” the minister said.

The minister added that the elections are approaching and the fact that Soros has now personally addressed Hungarians shows that he is ratcheting up his attacks.

"Soros does not want a sovereign government pursuing independent policies to stay in power and defend Hungary from external influence," the minister concluded.
