Hungarian government’s first flower cart at the Debrecen Flower Parade marks the Year of Families

Katalin Novák, Minister of State for Family and Youth Affairs, said families are the top priority for the government

The Hungarian government has taken part in the Debrecen Flower Parade this year to mark the Year of Families.

According to reports, it's the government’s first cart at the event since it began in 1966, and it communicates that families are the most important for the Hungarian government.

Katalin Novák said that the Hungarian future lies in the future of Hungarian children and responsible family planning.

The minister presented the government’s flower cart before the march started on August 20th. László Papp, mayor of Debrecen was also present at the press conference.

Katalin Novák highlighted that the essence of family policy is to make Hungary a good place to live, study, work and to raise children

During the major event, sixteen floral floats and thirty artistic groups both from Hungary and abroad paraded on the streets of Debrecen, the second largest Hungarian city.
