Hungarian road police raise awareness of speeding with 20,000 violations

The weeklong European Roadpol Speed anti-speeding law enforcement campaign was carried out across the country between August 7-13.

The National Police Headquarters (ORFK) has confirmed that Hungarian road police have stopped 6,663 drivers due to speeding and recorded another 12,657 speed-limit violation cases under the European Roadpol Speed anti-speeding law enforcement campaign this month. The weeklong campaign was carried out across the country between August 7-13 and was aimed at raising awareness as part of the Europe-wide campaign about the dangers of speeding, one of the main causes of fatal accidents.
