The Hungarian women's handball team has won the 2019 European Women’s U-17 Handball Championship.
Held in Slovenia between August 1st and 11th, the ladies beat the Swedish team 28-24 in Sunday’s finals. They also triumphed over the Danish team 25-21 in Friday’s semi-final.
In the past, the junior team earned a title just as prestigious by beating the Netherlands 27-20 in the Women’s 19 EHF Euro 2019, held in Győr in July.
