Hungarian wines have won three first prizes at the prestigious Monde Selection contest.

The Monde Selection competition has been running since 1961, and wines from 28 countries compete today. This year three Hungarian wines were awarded a gold medal at the contest, from a total of seven first prizes.

The results prove that Hungarian wines are among the best in the world and are achieving worldwide recognition and success. Varga Pincészet (Varga Winery) gained the top title with two wines, while the Pannon Tokaj Kft. gained a prize for its noble sweet wine.
