Ministers from Hungarian and Polish defense met to discuss migration, the Russia-Ukraine conflict and the Islamic state

Ministers of defense from Hungarian and Polish met this week to discuss the issues related to migration, the Russia-Ukraine conflict and the present state of Syria, Iraq and the Islamic state.

Péter Siklósi, Deputy State Secretary for Defense Policy and Planning, Ministry of Defense, held a discussion with his Polish counterpart, Tomasz Szatkowksi, Deputy State Secretary, on Wednesday.

Besides the main points of discussion, bilateral relations, the upcoming NATO Summit in Warsaw and the cooperation of the Visegrád Four (V4) countries were among a number of topics broached.

It was recently revealed that Hungary’s approach to stepping up border patrols to control mass migration has been adopted by Austria, and Hungary’s stance on banning Islamization within its boundaries had received praise across the nation, and Europe.
