Hungary bids farewell to Czech and Polish border patrols

25 Czech and Polish police officers and border guards have patrolled the Hungary-Serbia border since September

Two contingents of Czech and Polish police officers have finished their border patrol service on the Hungarian border.

The Czech contingent arrived September 5, while the Polish officers have been patrolling Hungary’s southern border in cooperation with their local counterparts since September 17.

A farewell ceremony was held in Szeged to honor the 25 Czech and Polish police officers and border guards, who have finished their service at the Hungary-Serbia border.

The two contingents were seen off by Janos Balogh, deputy police chief of Hungary.
