Hungary condemns truck bombing in Kabul and says it will not deter the nation from fighting terrorism

“Base and cowardly attacks such as this do not in any way deter us from our committed involvement in the fight against terrorism,” Hungary's foreign ministry said in a statement

Hungary has condemned yesterday's truck bombing in Kabul and says it will not deter the nation from fighting terrorism.

An explosive device detonated in the diplomatic district of Afghanistan's capital city on Wednesday killing at least 90 people and injured hundreds more.

“Base and cowardly attacks such as this do not in any way deter us from our committed involvement in the fight against terrorism,” Hungary's foreign ministry said in a statement.

The ministry said it was “shocked” to hear of the deadly attack that occurred near the German embassy.

The statement said Germany can count on the Hungarian government, “as the security of our citizens is of the utmost importance also in this regard”.

The ministry expressed its condolences to the families of the victims and wished a speedy recovery to those who were injured in the attack.
