Hungary keeps base rate at record low

The National Bank of Hungary has kept its base rate unchanged at a record low, it has been reported today.

The bank left its base rate unchanged at 0.9 percent, in line with the forecast of 16 leading analysts highlighted in a Reuters poll last week.

The bank also cut its overnight collateralized loan rate by 15 basis points to 0.9 percent, narrowing the interest rate corridor.

It also left the overnight deposit rate on hold at -0.05 percent.
