The Hungarians beat the Aussie team 10-4 in the FINA World Cup final in Berlin to secure their first title in this competition since 1999.

The team consisted of a world class group of men, including: Goalkeepers: Kardos Gergely (Szolnok) and Vogel Soma (FTC); Outfield players: Bátori Bence (Szolnok), Jansik Dávid (Szolnok), Jansik Szilárd (FTC), Kovács Gergő (Eger), Manhercz Krisztián (FTC), Mezei Tamás (Szolnok), Nagy Ádám (Miskolc), Német Toni (FTC), Pásztor Mátyás (BVSC), Pohl Zoltán (FTC), and Zalánki Gergő (Szolnok).
