Hungary’s exports and imports grew in December

Exports rose by an annual 11.0 percent to 8.349 billion euros and imports climbed 7.1 percent to 7.951 billion euros.

The Central Statistical Office (KSH) has confirmed that Hungary’s exports and imports both grew at a faster pace in December.

According to MTI, exports rose by an annual 11.0 percent to 8.349 billion euros and imports climbed 7.1 percent to 7.951 billion euros, both accelerating from the previous month.

The trade surplus stood at 398 million euros, widening from 99 million euros in the base period. For the full year, exports fell by 4.2 percent to 104.490 billion euros and imports dropped by 5.8 percent to 98.695 billion. The trade surplus widened to 5.795 billion euros from 4.334 billion a year earlier.
