Hungary’s retail sales rose by an annual 4.7 percent in December

Hungary’s retail sales rose by an annual 4.7 percent in December, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) has announced.

According to MTI, sales growth slowed down from 6.7 percent in November. Retail sales rose by 5.9 percent when adjusted for calendar year effects.

Figures show that adjusted food sales were up by 2.1 percent, non-food sales climbed 10.4 percent and fuel sales rose by 4.1 percent.

Adjusted food sales were up 2.6 percent, non-food sales climbed 8.3 percent and fuel sales rose by 3.3 percent.
