Katalin Novák presents Hungary’s family policy measures at summit in Colombia

Minister Novák said the government’s family policy was held in high regard by all participants at the summit

Katalin Novák has presented the Hungarian government’s family policy measures at a summit of The Political Network for Values in Colombia.

According to MTI, the state secretary at the human resources ministry outlined positive policy outcomes and detailed the latest measures the government has taken with a focus on a seven-point program unveiled by the prime minister in February.

“I said that we want to increase the room for manoeuvre for young people in Hungary, we want young people to have greater liberty to decide when to start a family, how many children to have, and, if they have ideas about this, have found a partner, and want a family, then to remove as many obstacles from their path,” she said.

Minister Novák said the government’s family policy was held in high regard by all participants at the summit.
