Katinka Hosszú wins seven gold medals at swimming world cup

The three-time Olympic champion put on an impressive display to take Hungary to second place in the overall medal table with nine medals in total

Katinka Hosszú has won nine medals at the short-track swimming world cup in Canada, seven of those were gold medals.

The three-time Olympic champion put on an impressive display to take Hungary to second place in the overall medal table and to ensure her place in history as one of the greatest international swimmers on the circuit.

Hosszú was recently chosen as FINA's best female swimmer of 2016 and that clearly showed as she took home gold medals in the butterfly, backstroke and medley disciplines.

The swimmer later said that she had found it hard to focus on new goals after winning in Rio, but international competitions like this still give her that hunger for success.
