KSH: Hungary's average gross wage rose by an annual 14% in February

The average gross wage in Hungary rose by an annual 14% to 605,400 forints (EUR 1,540) in February.

The Central Statistical Office (KSH) said on Wednesday that the average gross wage in Hungary rose by an annual 14.0% to 605,400 forints (EUR 1,540) in February. Net wages climbed at the same pace to 402,600 forints. Real wages rose by 9.9%, calculated with a February CPI of 3.7%. The gross median wage increased by 16.2% to 491,900 forints. Hungary’s statutory monthly minimum wage was raised by 15% to 266,800 forints for unskilled labourers and by 10% to 326,000 forints for skilled workers from December 1. For the period January-February, gross wages averaged 605,200 forints and net wages came to 402,500 forints, up 14.3% from the same period a year earlier.
