Marton Fucsovics beats 13th seed to reach third round of Australian Open

Hungarian tennis player Marton Fucsovics has beaten 13th seed Sam Querrey to make it through to the third round of the Australian Open tennis tournament

Hungarian tennis player Marton Fucsovics has beaten 13th seed Sam Querrey to make it through to the third round of the Australian Open tennis tournament.

In temperatures reaching a sweltering 40 degrees, Fucsovics took the first two sets, dropped the third but won the fourth to win 6-4 7-6 4-6 6-2 in two hours and 43 minutes.

Fuscovics had never won a match at a grand slam before his showing at this year’s Australian Open. He will now face Argentine Nicholas Kicker in the third round.
