Migrant kicker camerawoman banned from Hungary's Parliament

In a leaked video, Petra László could be seen arguing with György Szilágyi from the far-right Jobbik party after he refused to answer questions for pestisracok.hu

The Hungarian camerawoman who was filmed kicking migrants in 2015 has been banned from working in Hungary’s parliament after she insulted a lawmaker during an interview.

In a leaked video, Petra László could be seen arguing with György Szilágyi from the far-right Jobbik party after he refused to answer questions for pestisracok.hu.

Zoltán Szilágyi, Parliament press chief, confirmed to the Associated Press that László’s ban would be enforced for the rest of the current legislative period ending in mid-December.

In January, a Hungarian court sentenced László to three years’ probation for disorderly conduct. If she does not re-offend during that period, the conviction will be dropped.

In television footage, which sparked global outrage last September, László could be seen tripping up a man sprinting with a child in his arms, and kicking another child near the town of Röszke, close to the border with Serbia.
