Ministry of Human Capacities approves new education model for Budapest School

The Budapest School is an alternative school which has no classic curriculum, there are no grades and only three subjects are taught there

Péter Halácsy, founder of Prezi, and his colleagues have launched a new school which takes the conventional education model and turns it on its head.

The Budapest School is an alternative school which has no classic curriculum, there are no grades and only three subjects are taught there.

Halácsy believes that children can be divided into "smart or less smart" categories. Students work in micro communities and workshops without getting grades at the end of them.

Students can progress during the twelve years at the school according to their interests and following their own goals.

According to the curriculum framework, the school will have a total of three integrated subjects that balances the overall content of learning. The Ministry of Human Capacities has approved the curriculum for the school.
