More European leaders line up to congratulate PM Orbán on his victory in Sunday’s general election

More European leaders have lined up to congratulate Prime Minister Viktor Orbán on his victory in Sunday’s general election.

EPP President Joseph Paul, EPP Group Leader Manfred Weber, President of the European Council Donald Tusk, German Minister of the Interior Horst Seehofer, Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic and the President of the Bank of China have all sent congratulations to the prime minister.

The president of Bank of China wrote that he was happy to hear that Prime Minister Viktor Orbán had achieved victory once again. “In recent years, under you leadership the Hungarian government has achieved outstanding results through efficient governance. At the same time, Chinese-Hungarian relations have undergone an unparalleled development,” Mr. Chen Siqing stated.

Donald Tusk also congratulated the prime minister on his win and said that during his renewed term as prime minister, “I count on you to play a constructive role in maintaining our unity in the EU."
