Prime Minister Viktor Orbán has congratulated Austrian People’s Party chief Sebastian Kurz on his party’s victory in Austria’s recent parliamentary elections.
“This result, which gives a clear governmental mandate for you and your party, clearly reflects that Austria’s citizens support consistent policies resting on Christian values that will ensure stability for them,” PM Orbán wrote in a letter.
The Prime Minister also expressed hope that Hungary and Austria would continue their cooperation along the lines of those shared values to increase the region’s competitiveness and build a European Union on strong nation states.
