“Hungary is a staunch supporter of such efforts and is prepared to provide all possible assistance to the work of the special envoy," PM Orbán said

Prime Minister Viktor Orbán has met with Jan Figel, the European Union’s Special Envoy for the promotion of freedom of religion or belief, on how to take more coordinated action in an institutional manner to protect persecuted Christians.

“Hungary is a staunch supporter of such efforts and is prepared to provide all possible assistance to the work of the special envoy," PM Orbán stressed.

Zoltán Balog, minister of Human Capacities, was also present at the meeting, where discussions focused around helping persecuted Christians. Figel also told his hosts about his experiences during a recent visit to Iraq.
