PM Orbán holds talks with the President of the Republic of Albania

The two leaders discussed the development of bilateral relations, the protection of borders and the Balkans enlargement of the European Union

Prime Minister Viktor Orbán received Ilir Meta, President of the Republic of Albania, on Wednesday.

The two leaders discussed the development of bilateral relations, the protection of borders and the Balkans enlargement of the European Union.

At the meeting the parties confirmed that in the past year a number of major breakthroughs had been achieved between the two countries and the volume of trade had increased by 35 percent to 114 million EUR.

Additionally, a direct flight has been launched between the two capitals that operates with a high occupancy rate.

PM Orbán reassured the president that Hungary will support Albania’s EU accession aspirations with all available means at its disposal.
