PM Orbán marks March 15 national holiday with a speech at Hungarian National Museum

The national flag was hoisted in front of Parliament at 9am, and the main events started at 10.30am at the National Museum.

Prime Minister Viktor Orbán gave a speech at the Hungarian National Museum to mark Hungary's March 15 national holiday.

Celebrations for the anniversary of the 1848 revolution and freedom fight started on March 14, with the handing over of the Kossuth and Széchenyi Prizes in Parliament. On March 15, the national flag was hoisted in front of Parliament at 9am, and the main events started at 10.30 am at the National Museum. Throughout the day, commemorators will get to enjoy a host of family programs at the National Museum garden, the Parliament building, and Buda Castle, which will be open to the public.
