PM Orbán opens EuroSkills Budapest 2018

The prime minister said Europe can only overcome its competitive disadvantage by training excellent skilled workers

Prime Minister Viktor Orbán has opened the EuroSkills Budapest 2018 competition for young European skilled workers.

The prime minister said Europe can only overcome its competitive disadvantage by training excellent skilled workers. Young people are part of a “historic match being played between the world’s continents,” he added.

The prime minister said that Europe’s population is ageing and in decline, which he said had put the continent at a “serious competitive disadvantage”.

“We can make up this disadvantage by training excellent skilled workers,” PM Orbán said. “Europe will only regain its strength, if we raise and train the world’s best skilled workers.”
