PM Orbán says George Soros has “transgressed every border”
The prime minister said that Hungary wants to protect its own interests, it does not want to become an immigrant country, and it wants to preserve its border protection and its border security fence
Prime Minister Viktor Orbán likened George Soros to illegal migrants and said the financier has “transgressed every border”.
The prime minister emphasized that Hungary wants to protect its own interests, it does not want to become an immigrant country, and it wants to preserve its border protection and its border security fence.
Following a meeting with Czech prime minister Andrej Babiš in Budapest on Friday, PM Orbán commented on statements made by George Soros in Davos. He said it is rare for such savage attacks to be launched on Hungary, but added that he thinks this was a “campaign opener”.
“George Soros has announced his intention to take part in the Hungarian election campaign, and has made his debut on the Hungarian campaign stage with monstrous lies,” the prime minister said.
He added that George Soros wants to make every country an immigrant country, and Europe an immigrant continent.
The prime minister also said that details concerning the debate and vote on the “Stop Soros” bill will be decided by the governing party’s parliamentary group leader.
