Prime Minister Viktor Orbán is expected to unveil further government measures supporting families at an annual state of the nation address on February 10th.
According to Magyar Idők, the prime minister will also talk about the government measures decided on the basis of a national consultation on family policy conducted in November and December.
Sources state that PM Orbán is also expected to speak about what is at stake in the European Parliament election coming up in the spring.
Last week, the prime minister said Hungary’s goal is to see an anti-immigration majority in all European Union institutions after the election, and that he will continue to fight for Hungary’s sovereignty.
The newspaper also revealed that a meeting of MPs of the governing Fidesz-KDNP alliance will take place on February 13th and 14th. The prime minister will deliver an assessment to lawmakers behind closed doors on the evening of February 13th. On the following day, family policy related tasks will be assigned, and MPs will discuss preparations for the EP campaign and the topic of migration.
The legislative program for the spring session of parliament is also on the agenda. The two-day meeting will not take place in Visegrád, north of the capital, as in earlier years, Magyar Idők said. The location has not been revealed for security reasons.
