PM Orbán visits family of one millionth ethnic Hungarian to receive citizenship

In 2010, when the ruling Fidesz party came to power, one of their first measures was to significantly simplify the process of granting Hungarian citizenship

Prime Minister Viktor Orbán has visited the family of a ethnic Hungarian in Serbia, the one millionth person to receive Hungarian citizenship.

PM Orbán posted a series of photos on his Facebook page in an entry symbolically entitled “family visit” meaning both the actual family in the Serbian village of Gunaras (Serbian: Gunaroš) and the larger family of ethnic Hungarians living in the neighboring countries.
