Prime Minister Viktor Orbán’s latest speech where he defends Europe and the continent’s Christian culture has garnered international press attention.

America’s Fox News network covered the prime minister’s speech on a primetime slot yesterday and discussed how he gave rise to the notion that unless Europeans stand up for their traditions, culture and values it will be overrun by a Muslim majority.

Tucker Carlson, the show’s host, said the prime minister wouldn’t be crazy for thinking in this way because Hungary’s population is below 10 million and the birth rate is not high, and it wouldn’t take a huge wave of immigration from Muslim nations to overrun and obliterate a culture that has existed for thousands of years.

He added that most Europeans agree with the prime minister’s sentiments. Last year, the people in Germany, France, Italy and Belgium, and several other countries said they wanted a total freeze on immigration from Muslim countries.

The TV host goes to say that EU leaders denounce the prime minister as authoritarian, which he says is ironic considering that this position has more popular support.
