Rio 2016: Hungarian Olympic song unveiled

Hallhatatlanok (Immortals), written by rapper Deniz, is in tribute to all of those who are lovers of sport and who aim for gold

The Hungarian Olympic team’s official song for Rio 2016 has been unveiled to the public.

Hallhatatlanok (Immortals), written by rapper Deniz, is in tribute to all of those who are lovers of sport and who aim for gold.

The song, also performed by Dénes Rizner (aka Deniz), was first played at the Hungarian oath-taking ceremony held in the Palace of Arts, Budapest, last week.

In the music video, attached to this item, Olympians and Paralympians preparing for Rio, as well as Hungarian champions from previous games are featured.

Speaking to the Hungarian Olympic Committee’s website, Deniz said that working with the “very helpful” athletes was a great honor.

“I will be very happy if I can make even a slight contribution to the successful showing of our Olympians in Rio”, he said.

This year’s Olympic Games in Rio are due to begin on August 5.
