State Secretary: EP continues to submit pro-migration proposals

Bence Rétvári said coordination talks on the migration draft continued between the European Commission, the Council and the EP.

State Secretary Bence Rétvári said the European Parliament has continued to submit pro-migration proposals to the migration pact to include in it an increasing number of exemptions on whom to grant easier entry to the territory of the European Union. Speaking at a press conference after a meeting of EU interior ministers in Brussels, Rétvári said coordination talks on the migration draft continued between the European Commission, the Council and the EP. “The EU’s law-making body tries to soften up and make the draft more migrant-friendly and the European Commission wants to push it through before the European Parliament elections at all cost,” Rétvári said.
